These are not for lighter weight or greater strength as I have read in other reviews..these are purposely filled with foam to prevent conductive humidity that can create a circuit internally for use by trained personnel working near electricity. They worked perfectly on removal of 2/3 of a tree that was in intermittent contact with a an 8000V line. Again my review is not to tell you to go out and start touching power lines but if you have training and proper PPE plus absolute attention to detail work ethics about safety, these will help prevent tragedy. Jameson as well as others makes more affordable poles for those just doing light pruning or heavy branch removal that are clear of power lines. These are a great addition to the normal sets I have and can be used in conjunction with each other.
