I live in So. Cal. With the recent wind (precisely on 10/26/2020), this is what happened! I bought these in 9/2017 based on my order history and installed them sometime in 2018 or 2019 for about $1000 per pole. I bought 5 from Amazon at different times. 2 of 5 were this precise model. All 5 are from the same manufacturer. The other three are fine. Perhaps it is too late for me to get any benefit of the manufacturer warranty, amazon vendor warranty, etc. However, perhaps I can dissuade the others from purchasing.As for my experience dealing with the customer service, I just spoke to Amazon and they referred me to the manufacturer (Bel Air Lighting). I just spoke to someone allegedly by the name of Selvador (per Lola) from Bel Air Lighting. When I called back to get the person's name, this time the owner answered. He says his name is Lola and his partner Chris was not the person I spoke with the first time I called. Selvador, (i confirmed the spelling with Lola) said that because Amazon was the one selling, Amazon is the manufacturer. Oh my. When I pointed out that Amazon as the vendor might have their own warranty but I was calling about the manufacturer warranty because Amazon certainly did not make the lamp poles, he changed his story and said all warranty questions or issues must be submitted by Amazon. Regardless of whether the damage is covered by their warranty, the way they handled the situation cannot be in good faith and it incredibly disconcerting.8' height looks good. Need ladder to change bulbs. No ground wire; so, must add one to meet codes. Need to chase all threaded holes due to excessive paint and debris. Paint thin and easily scrapes off when tightening fasteners.Very cheap design. Pole mounts to base by bolts and is very weak a slight wind snapped it in half a week after installationVery Nice for the price.I ordered 2 lamp posts and they look amazing in the front yard. Great quality.Very goodBought 13 of these. Every one was missing 6 nuts and bolts to mount the light arms to the pole.
